13-23

“6 weeks to Christmas”- I heard Lorraine Kelly on daybreak say! “What!!” I said out loud, where on earth has this year gone...It couldn’t have been a year ago I was ice- skating round Somerset house, or buying my Christmas presents….could it.?Well lets face it, its nearly Christmas 2010- which then dawned on me that means its nearly New Year, and a friends boyfriend of mine stated that means we will be entering a new decade…. Now all this information is system over load, for me on a Monday morning, so I stop….. and wonder what have I achieved in the past 10 years.?

13 years of age, entering the most troublesome years (according to most parents- not mine of course, as you can all imagine I was an angel) Year 9 at secondary school, where we began to roll our skirts above the knee, just in case we ran into any boys after school. Ha! School disco age… where I am ashamed to admit… I wore leopard print flared trousers, some form of top- most probably showing my mid-drift, and crazy platform shoes (that I felt very cool in, as I purchased them in a shoe shop in Belgium- international trend setter was my current state of mind then) I won’t be mean and mention what my other two friends were wearing…you know who you are….you have the horrific photo to prove it!

Secondary school years, and sixth form years past, with I am sure a great deal of fashion faux-pas, endless trainers and timberlands in different colours, was my speciality. Now 2004 entering the first year of university was when I began to truly wear the clothes/styles that I still wear and stay true to today. This I can sum up in 2 words- Dresses and Hairstyles. I am known for countless different party dress, day dress, summer dresses, and not to mention the ever changing hair style I sport, dependent on my mood.

So in the fashion realms I have accomplished a love for dresses and new hairstyles, in the past 10 years. As for my personal life, I have been blessed with an abundance of wealth around me, and by wealth I speak not of material things (do you see my driving the Bentley I so long for…errr no) I mean wealth in a meteorically way- referring to health, first and foremost, closely followed by the wealth and love I am surrounded by every day- my family and friends. This in my eyes is by far the biggest blessing, and achievement!

However in the next ten years (23-33) I am sure I will own a pair of highly priced designer shoes, and hopefully getting on that little thing they call the property ladder. Ummm let’s be realised and say a further ten years (33-43) you shall see me driving down the road in that…. Bentley drop top, sporting whichever hairstyle I should have at the time! J

Take a moment to think about all the wonderful things you have achieved in the past 10 years….. KemiStyle is also one FYI
